Welcome to the Peace Maze Website. The maze was officially opened by the Minister of Agriculture for Northern Ireland, Mrs Brid Rodgers, on 12th September 2001.

The Peace Maze is now officially the largest permanent hedge maze in the world. From 27th October 2003 the maze will close at 5pm.

• The maze covers an area of 11,000m2. That's 2.7 acres or 1.1 hectares!

• The path length is 3147m (2 miles or or 3443 yards).

• The hedge is constructed from 6000 yew trees, many of which were planted during December 2000 by people from all over Northern Ireland.

• The yew tree can live for up to 4 thousand years!
